Dr Gagan Singla

Dr. Singla is a highly accomplished veterinarian with a diverse background in veterinary science and medicine. Having earned a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2012 and a master’s in veterinary medicine in 2015, Dr. Singla embarked on a successful career in the field. Prior to relocating to Canada, Dr. Singla gained valuable experience working at Virbac, Glaxosmithkline and served as a Vet Officer at GADVASU Polytechnic College. 
In 2020, Dr. Singla obtained a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) license and has since been dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care in Canada. Dr. Singla is a BOAS IPATA (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) Certified Veterinarian. 
Dr. Singla purchased Douglas Square Pet Clinic in September 2023. 


Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Singla finds joy in his personal life, being happily married to his beautiful wife and the proud dad of 2. In his leisure time, he indulges his passion for sports by actively participating in or enjoying them as a spectator.

Dr Amanda Maclean

Dr. Mandi is currently on maternity leave to enjoy time with her family and newborn.

With over 14 years of extensive veterinary experience, Dr. Mandi is a seasoned and highly skilled professional. Her expertise spans a broad spectrum of veterinary care, ranging from emergency care to general practice. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to sharing her knowledge and nurturing the growth of aspiring veterinarians and Registered Veterinary technicians (RVTs).

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Mandi is a devoted mother to a beautiful daughter, and her furry shadow Mokey. Dr. Mandi’s profound connection to animals also extends to several horses. Her unwavering dedication to providing the highest quality of care and maintaining the utmost professionalism in the field is a testament to her commitment to the well-being of both her patients and the veterinary community.

Dr Gaurav Sharma

Dr. Gaurav Sharma is a highly skilled veterinarian with a unique international perspective. After graduating from GADVASU (India) in 2011, he dedicated nine years to serving as a government veterinarian in India, building a strong foundation in both large and small animal medicine.

In 2023, Dr. Sharma achieved his DVM certification and transitioned his focus to small animals. He possesses expertise in a wide range of surgical procedures, including dental, abdominal, and ophthalmic surgeries, as well as advanced knowledge of anesthesia protocols.

Dr. Sharma's diverse background and commitment to continuing education make him a valuable asset to our team. Outside of work, he enjoys playing the guitar, challenging friends to a game of table tennis, and exploring the world through travel.

Kira
Practice Manager

Kira is a dedicated professional with a passion for animals, serving as the Practice Manager at Douglas Square Pet Clinic for the past six years. Her journey in the veterinary field began as a Tech Assistant and has evolved into a leadership role where she excels in providing top-notch care for furry companions.

With a lifelong affinity for animals, Kira's decision to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine was a natural choice driven by her deep-rooted love for pets. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and horses, she developed a profound appreciation for the bond between humans and animals that continues to inspire her work every day.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Kira finds joy in various activities. From her early years competing in horseback riding to now leisurely riding for pleasure as an adult, she finds solace in the connection with these majestic creatures. When not at the clinic, she cherishes moments spent with her husband and four children, immersing themselves in nature by exploring the mountains, camping under the stars, and enjoying Lake Days!

Family plays a central role in Kira's life, with regular trips to Ontario and Nova Scotia to visit loved ones, creating lasting memories and strengthening bonds across generations. With a kind heart and unwavering dedication, Kira embodies the values of compassion, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals that make her an invaluable asset to the team at Douglas Square Pet Clinic.

Carol
Vet Tech (RVT)

Meet Carol, a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who is thrilled to be part of our team! Carol graduated from Seneca College in Ontario in April 2024 and made the exciting move to Alberta shortly after. With a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing compassionate care, Carol is a valuable asset to our clinic.

Outside of work, Carol is an avid adventurer! You can find her climbing, biking, or hiking, always eager to discover the hidden gems of Alberta's stunning landscape. Her explorations are often shared with her two beloved fur babies, Slim Jim and Brisket, who are always up for an outdoor adventure. Carol's dedication to both animal welfare and an active lifestyle make her a wonderful addition to our team and the community.

Pam
Vet Tech (RVT)

Pam is a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), having graduated from Olds College in 2007. In her personal life, she shares her home with a vibrant mix of three cats and two lovable dogs. Pam is not only dedicated to her furry family members but also to her human one, as she is happily married.

With a multifaceted career, Pam professionally grooms’ pets on the side, ensuring that they look and feel their best. In addition to her grooming work, she serves as a locum RVT, providing her expertise and support to multiple veterinary clinics in Calgary. Her wide range of skills and her commitment to the well-being of animals are a testament to her passion for her profession and her love for pets.

Furthermore, Pam extends her influence beyond her direct work, as she has been an incredible mentor to fellow RVTs and TAs across multiple clinics. Her willingness to share her knowledge and experience with others demonstrates her commitment to advancing the veterinary field and nurturing the growth of aspiring professionals.

Tracey
Vet Tech (RVT)

Meet Tracey, our RVT and a true Calgarian through and through! A graduate of Olds College in 1988, Tracey has spent her career dedicated to the health and well-being of small animals. With years of experience in general practice vet clinics, she's seen it all and is always ready with a helpful hand and a calming presence.

Tracey’s soft spot is definitely feline seeing how she has two of her own, Lucy and Clark, who rule the roost at home (along with her husband!).

When she's not busy caring for your furry friends, you can find Tracey in her garden, on a hiking trail, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, or dreaming of her next trip to Hawaii.

Michelle
Lead Receptionist

Michelle is an exceptional receptionist who brings a warm and inviting presence to our veterinary clinic. As a lifelong pet owner, Michelle understands the unique bond that exists between pets and their human families. In addition to her role as a pet parent, she’s a loving mother of two children, showcasing her dedication to family life.

when not assisting clients at the clinic, Michelle cherishes quality time with her family, which includes a dog and two cats. her love for animals extends beyond the workplace, as she often enjoys horseback riding, indulging in her equestrian passion. In her social life, Michelle relishes moments spent with friends, creating cherished memories. With her cheerful disposition and genuine love for animals, Michelle eagerly anticipates meeting and caring for all your furry family members.

Heather
Tech Assistant/Receptionist

From a young age, Heather’s love for animals has been a driving force. Now a proud mom of three, she's also the dedicated "animal mom" to a diverse herd of animals, dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats!

Heather's compassion extends beyond her own pets. She deeply understands the bond between animals and their human companions and strives to provide support and understanding to everyone who walks through our doors.

When she's not caring for animals, you can find her embracing the great outdoors. She loves spending time in nature, whether she's carving down a mountain on her snowboard or enjoying a peaceful ride on horseback.

Heather's dedication to animal care is further solidified by her graduation from the Bow Valley College Veterinary Receptionist and Tech Assistant program in 2021. This education, combined with her inherent empathy and love for animals, makes her an invaluable asset to our team and a friendly, knowledgeable face for our clients. We're lucky to have her!

As a dedicated employee, she brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on new challenges. Welcome Alexis, our dedicated Receptionist and Tech Assistant! Alexis is a bright and enthusiastic student with big dreams of becoming a marine biologist. She skillfully juggles her studies with her responsibilities here, bringing a sharp mind and a passion for animals to our team.

When she's not assisting clients and supporting our staff, Alexis is a proud pet parent to Cleo, a lively German Shepherd who keeps her on her toes, and Bella, a tortoise shell cat with a surprisingly cuddly side. Her diverse interests extend beyond the animal kingdom, encompassing digital art, tennis, and even boxing! Alexis discovered her love for veterinary medicine back in Vancouver in 2022 and is a welcome member of our team!
